NLO Calculations for Charm Production in DIS
I present a short overview of the NLO QCD calculations available for
deep-inelastic production of heavy quarks.Comment: 3 pages. Talk given at UK Phenomenology Workshop on Collider Physics,

Top quark in theory
I review how the top quark is embedded in the Standard Model and some its
proposed extensions, and how it manifests itself in various hadron collider
signals.Comment: 12 page
Current Issues in Prompt Photon Production
We give a brief account of recent theoretical developments in prompt photon
production.Comment: Contribution to the proceedings of the ``8th International Workshop

Combined recoil and threshold resummation for hard scattering cross sections
We discuss the simultaneous resummation of threshold and recoil enhancements
to partonic cross sections due to soft radiation. Our method is based on a
refactorization of the parton cross section near its partonic threshold. It
avoids double counting, conserves the flow of partonic energy, and reproduces
either threshold or recoil resummation when the other enhancements are
neglected.Comment: 4 pages, LaTeX, 2 figs. Contributed to 30th International Conference

Higher-Order QCD Corrections in Prompt Photon Production
We exhibit a method for simultaneously treating recoil and threshold
corrections in single-photon inclusive cross sections, working within the
formalism of collinear factorization. This approach conserves both the energy
and transverse momentum of resummed radiation. At moderate p_T, we find the
potential for substantial enhancements from higher-order perturbative and
power-law nonperturbative corrections.Comment: 9 Pages, LaTeX, two figures as eps file
D* Production in Two-Photon Collisions
We calculate total and differential production rates of D* mesons in
two-photon collisions at LEP2. We include full next-to-leading order QCD
corrections, and perform an extensive study of the sensitivity of our
predictions to variations of the renormalization scale, charm mass, photonic
parton distribution set and fragmentation function. The results are compared
with recent data from LEP2.Comment: Latex, 19 pages, 9 figure
Power corrections in eikonal cross sections
We discuss power corrections associated with the infrared behavior of the
perturbative running coupling in the eikonal approximation to Drell-Yan and
other annihilation cross sections in hadron-hadron scattering. General
properties of the eikonal approximation imply that only even powers of the
energy scale are necessary.Comment: 4 pages, LaTeX. Contributed to 30th International Conference on

Position-space cuts for Wilson line correlators
We further develop the formalism for taking position-space cuts of eikonal
diagrams introduced in [Phys.Rev.Lett. 114 (2015), no. 18 181602,
arXiv:1410.5681]. These cuts are applied directly to the position-space
representation of any such diagram and compute its discontinuity to the leading
order in the dimensional regulator. We provide algorithms for computing the
position-space cuts and apply them to several two- and three-loop eikonal
diagrams, finding agreement with results previously obtained in the literature.
We discuss a non-trivial interplay between the cutting prescription and
non-Abelian exponentiation. We furthermore discuss the relation of the
imaginary part of the cusp anomalous dimension to the static interquark
potential.Comment: 39+18 pages, 16 figures; elaborated the discussion of the comparison
of numerical and analytic results for the three-gluon vertex diagram in the
